WE’RE ALL ABOUT THE PASSION – MUSIC, MONEY & FASHION

EsDeeKid’s position didn’t come from luck or timing.
It comes from a city that has always been comfortable on the mic.

Long before playlists and algorithms, Scouse lads were MC’ing in nightclubs across Liverpool. Fast club records, full rooms, real pressure. It wasn’t theory — it was practice. Learning delivery, control and presence in front of crowds. Rap has always existed here, just outside the industry’s narrow definition of it.

JOHN CHARLES

For a long time, John Charles’ talent lived in the background. Art wasn’t a career — it was a hobby. Something done around work, around life, around responsibility. Like so many artists, he carried creativity quietly while doing what he had to do to get by.

There’s a particular frustration that comes with that. Clocking in for a normal 9–5, doing work that doesn’t feed you, while knowing you’re capable of more. Knowing there’s something else you’re meant to be doing.

Learning delivery, control and presence in front of crowds. Rap has always existed here, just outside the industry’s narrow definition of it. Liverpool never lacked voice. What it lacked was a system that allowed that voice to move beyond the city. The accent was never the issue. Structure was. As trap and drill developed, they created space in the beat and clarity...

What started as a creative street-food concept beside the dunes has quickly become a much-loved part of the local scene. For many visitors, a walk along Crosby Beach now naturally ends with street food, drinks and a seat by the sea. Not long ago, the coastline was famously simple — just sand, sea and the wide tidal flats stretching out towards the horizon. Aside from the iconic Another Place sculptures by Antony Gormley, the beach remained largely untouched by food or drink spots. The arrival of The...
